Can't Forward Song and Video

Hi,

Can anyone help me with this issue, I install the last version of VLC Player but when i play a song or video i can't forward, example: I am watching a video but a i want to skip the first 10 minutes and hear from 11:01 minute to 14:01 but not respond the player controls, the same happen when i am playing any song in the player, i can't forward or rewind.

Any help i will be very grateful.
