Postby zepply » 22 Aug 2010 21:06

Hello guys,
I have tried so hard to see if I can get the iTunes visualization
for VLC or any other media player.

I have the .dll file of it..

Is there anyway at all to get it to work with VLC?

Thanks!

This isn't the Winamp support forum. I'm not sure what support could be provided, unless that .dll is a VLC plugin.

I'd really love to see the milkdrop plugin working with VLC. Are 3rd party visualizations still in the works?

ProjectM does support milkdrop stuff, but unfortunately it doesn't work in Win32 builds.

Win32 means Coded to work in Windows (as opposed to Mac or Linux) Windows has two flavors 32 bit and 64 bit. 64 bit runs 32bit apps just fine though. (majority of apps are 32)

I thought the whole idea of VLC was to keep the app cross functional across all operating systems. Anyone know if custom visualization features for win32 are being worked on?

http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/3207 you can follow that ticket if you are interested on ProjectM support under Win32.
