prevent autoplay of file

Postby digibud » 14 Aug 2010 02:12

I've searched the forums and the net and find various related posts but none that succinctly explain how to prevent VLC from starting up a file (Windows7) after double clicking. I want to be able to double click to open a video file and have it sit there, ready to play...but I don't want it to begin until I click the play button. Any simple directions on how to accomplish this?

That isn't possible. You can naturally create playlists which have long pause items in case you are doing some kind of presentation.
