I'm still getting rhythmic stuttering and drop-outs on .mp3 files of the past Coast to Coast AM radio show broadcasts that I've downloaded off of their website, which they call "Streamlink". As far as I know, it's not streaming media in the strict sense of the word, as the files are being fully downloaded from their archive of past shows before I open them in VLC. This problem started w/ VLC 1.1.0. No other types of files seem to be affected. Video files, and mp3 song files all seem to play fine. The Coast to Coast AM files play fine in Windows Media Player.
Here's my computer specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R motherboard
Intel Core i7 2.83 GHz OC'd to 2.93 GHz
12 GB Corsair DDR3 1033(?) MHz OC'd to 1600 MHz using XMP
80 GB Hard Drive for Operating System
260 GB Hard Drive for programs
1 TB Hard Drive for Photographs
500 GB portable external USB 2.0 hard drive for storage of other media and misc. files. My mp3 and video files all play directly from this drive (they're not transferred to internal drive before use).
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Brad
