VLC muting sound when not focused on VLC window - win7

Im using windows 7 and whenever i click outside of the vlc window with video playing the sound output for vlc gets auto muted
just wondering if vlc controls this, because this only started recently and i want to disable this from happening

Hi, I have the same problem, but I think that I have found the cause, the process that is modifying the volume is "plugin container for firefox", it happens to me when I'm watching tv in vlc and I'm browsing a web with a video, then the volume of vlc is modified, when I close the tab with the video the sound of vlc is restored to the previous volume level. I don't know if it modifies the volume to all video players or just to vlc.
