backup key settings

Hi,i'm new to this forum,i want know if there is a way or a file to make backup of settings key because i want update vlc but also if i must format my hard disk and after a new installation of windows don't want set up all the settings manually...

Keys are stored to %appdata%\vlc\vlcrc file.
