Where's my osd (volume, pause etc)

Hi

I just upgraded to 1.1, and i no more have those things displayed on screen (indications of what i'm changing, in realtime, volume etc).
i haven't changed anything regarding this.

Does it help if you remove %appdata%\vlc folder?

Any solution NOT to lose everything ?
What parameters should i check/change/reset to get this back please ?

All config options are stored to %appdata%\vlc\vlcrc but I have no clue which one causes OSD to go dark.

Its not gone dark, it's just totally gone
