Postby owned2hell » 23 Jun 2010 02:08

First off I would like to apologize for posting this in the wrong section, i am really in a rush for help and i need to get the chinese subtitle before this friday, its for a church movie screening. I am going to watch the book of eli but there is no chinese sub i tried it on vlc all i see is squares... I opened the .srt file in notepad and i see that the chinese characters are fine and are all working. So please anyone that can lend a hand really quick it will be greatly appreciated.

What encoding does the .srt file use? (Unicode, UTF-8)

I don't know if there is any easy tool to show that, but when you use File -> Save as... in Notepad, you can select the encoding you want to use.
