Cant play DVD's and CD's...

Postby marpiw » 12 May 2010 20:44

The marvelous ''VLC MEDIA PLAYER'' cant play DVD's and CD's because an error message is issued continouously that ''VLC IS INCAPABLE OF OPENING THE MRL'' so it hasnt the faintest idea that a CD or DVD is in the computer player.
Also when you open VLC's control all whats referred to audio, video and reproduction is grayed and useless because you cant click anyone of its functions.
I think that something is missing in the programming because I installed VLC four times and in all I couldnt play the disks. So I have installed a ''MEDIA PLAYER'' THAT CANT PLAY ANY MEDIA .It only reads files.
If it is useful I inform you that I have an XP computer with the Windows 7 program.
I would like to know how yo solve this problem. Please help me.
Thanks a lot.

Please try to reinstall your VLC or test VLC 1.1.0-pre4

Sorry but it is the same sh**t over and over again.VLC issues the same error message THAT VLC IS INCAPABLE OF OPENING THE MRL.
I think that the program is incomplete and its not just a question of testing...there are tons of programming missing...and developers who dont care about it...
When will VLC be an authentic Media Player?.
