VLC 1.1.0 will have new wallpaper mode for Direct3D output module. (should work better in Vista and 7)

Do we have an "ETA" on version 1.1.0?

Could we get a set of instructions on how to make the directX wallpaper work on version 1.1.0 with Vista Home Premium 32 bit, including problem shooting?

You change VOUT to DirectX (save and restart)
http://wiki.videolan.org/WindowsFAQ-1.0 ... _output.3F
then during playback select Wallpaper from video menu.

I found the answer!!!! it only goes black for Wmv formats and some others,
Avi, divx, mov, mp4, flv all work!!! This is the answer i've been looking for all along. maybe VLC 1.1 will accomodate this fact if not the newer ones. VLC please take this into account.

System: Vista Premium 64 Bit
Nvidia 8800GTS
AMD 4200+ AM2
Gigabyte - m6 series
2Gb corsair ddr800
Seagate 300 Gb 7200rpm

also works on

Vista Premium 64 Bit
Dual ATI 4850HD- crossfire
AMD 880 Phenom II quad
4GB Corsair ddr3-1666
2x 500gb Seagates

Heyho.

I have a problem with Win7 (64Bit) and the wallpaper mode to display the video on the desktop without changing the whole theme to basic.
I activated Direct3D. Here a screenshot, saved, restarted and tried to play my video.
But everytime appears a second window. In this window is my video. The normal vlc player is black with a vlc logo. Here a second screenshot.

I don't know what to do :/ But I wan't to play my music videos in the background without turning aero off q.q

My system shouldn't be the problem:

CPU: Phenom II X6 1090T
Graphics: HD Radeon 4550
4 GB Ram

Thanks for all answers!
