I've been having some issues with vlc 1.0.5 (and prior versions) with the media player but, somewhat surprisingly, can't find anyone else on the forum who's reported the same problems.
I've also used your FAQ, wiki + knowledge-base to no avail.
I'm running vista 32bit home premium.
1) I normally add extra fields to the vlc media library (e.g. description, URL, etc) but on occasion, the extra columns disappear (on vlc startup) and vlc reverts to the default columns. I have not been able to establish a pattern as yet... but it's pretty annoying as it happens repeatedly.
2) If I try to add something from the library to the playlist, the item is moved (i.e. removed from the media library), not copied (as the mouse pointer + symbol would imply).
3) The current media library search function doesn't appear to search through the Description field (or URL, for that matter).
