MPEG-2, convert, the save as files

Postby wakelt » 18 Jan 2010 05:19

Good Evening VLCer's;

Can I run a VLC client that receives a network mpeg-2 stream, converts to h264, and saves to a series
of files ?? For example, I may want to have each file represent 2secs worth of stream reception. The contents
should be saved on GOP boundaries.

I look forward to hearing from you.

thanks,
wk

In theory, yes. File splitting is little problematic because you would have to use start time and end time options.
