I've tried a couple versions and downloaded the RARs but didn't have a single clue what to do after extracting it.

How do I download older versions of VLC correctly?
I have absolutely zero clue on what to do after I got to the 'FTP Achieve' page.
I've tried a couple versions and downloaded the RARs but didn't have a single clue what to do after extracting it.
Help please.

There are no RARs on the vlc ftp...
The old fast button is still present, just moved to the side of the slider... Moreover, you can modify all the buttons with View->Customize Interface

This is a speed button and is in all revisions of VLC 0.9.x and 1.0.x
