VLC does not register file extensions

Postby Crigou » 06 Dec 2009 17:53

Hello,
I use Windows7 and VLC 1.0.3. I used the installer and chose to play all video files.
Now when I doubleclick on a video file windows starts the WMP.
Even when I disable/re-enable the file extensions in the option nothing changes (because nothing is written into the registry...).

Known bug? How to fix this?
Thank you

Fixed it like this:

regedit -> delete the whole 'folder' HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-*-*-*-*\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts
