audio jerky mp3, avi any file

Postby passegua » 22 Nov 2009 23:06

I installed VLC 1.0.3 but I cannot listen to mp3 nor avi since the audio is horrible, jerky, it seems like accelerating and slowing down.
The same files play wonderfully with winamp, media player classic and a bunch of other players.
I searched the solution, I cannot find any.
using Windows XP 32 SP1, 2 3
on a HP Pavilion dv6137ea .

Any clue will be highly appreciated. thanks.

Here's the solution:
first installed VLC withous directX
second choose in the audio option the waveOut extension win 32
now it works fine, really fine.

Thanks! (to myself) :D
