Cant get DVDs to play

Postby groundhog » 12 Sep 2009 18:41

Win XP Pro SP 3

VLC media Player 1.0.1 Goldeneye

I am trying to play DVDs by right clicking on the drive and selecting play with VLC media player, opening VLC and selecting Open Disc, dragging and dropping, etc and VLC will open and the disc will spin up and then nothing happens. Ive tired multiple DVDs and I get the same problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times with the same affect.

I get the following error when I try to play any disc.

Playback failure:
DVDRead could not read -1/4 blocks at 0x2c46.

Thanks for reading this.
