Streaming finish

When I chose the Streaming option so to convert a file . How do i know when the file is done? When the convertion is finished? Because I see that the seconds on the vlc run the same, But the file is (I think) ready alot sonner? does not?

If the stream is endless, then VLC won't stop unless network issues comes up or stream is stopped. And the timecodes shown can be incorrect, so they might give wrong indication of current state.

Soo there is no way to get a indication of "time for completion"?
