ya it reads .3gp, .flv phone format :)
but doesn't have sound in .3gp files

Depends about audio format. Amr audio doesn't work.

Does anyone know if VLC will support 3gp (audio and video) in the future? ... i'm having to use an alternative player instead.

BTW: my 3gp video files are coming from an HTC mobile phone.
