Vlc changed my setting

Vlc will change my power setting for the monitor to switch it off after 20 minutes.
I have it set to never but as soon as i use vlc it reverts back to 20 minutes.

I have used the search function but cant find anything.

If i do not use vlc my settings are fine.

Any help would be great thanks

Tools -> Preferences... (Show settings: All) Video and remove tick from Disable screensaver.

Hi i did what you advise then clicked saved /apply etc.
I then checked the settings for the power option which is set to never.
I then restarted the pc and upon restart checked opwer options again and still shown as never.
I then watched a film for 2 minutes via vlc and when i then checked the power option setting again it had changed back to turn monitor off after 20 minute ??

And the tick isn't in that option if you check from VLC?

After i read the reply listed above i went to the settings page and removed the tick.

Restarted the pc and same thing happens in that whilst watching the film after 20 minutes the screen will turn black.
After changing the power settings again to never and apply etc i then looked at the settings in vlc,of which the tick in disable screensaver was not present.

Sounds strange. There is one test build I made earlier if you want to test it.

If the settings still change with those test builds, the problem isn't in VLC.

updated my video driver and so far it has been ok
