you are also running Firefox whilst trying to do the install.
Certain Lib files won't install, you can only do a full install if Firefox is totally closed.
Oh, and older versions of VLC with the Mozilla plugin installed cause Facebook chat to crash with a runtime error.

If you have libvlc instance running, you can't replace files with installer.you are also running Firefox whilst trying to do the install.
