Sever come playing problem in 1.0.2 for windows

Hi,
I tried downloading the latest version of vlc 1.0.2 for windows (vlc-1.0.2-win32) from the site
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
Here,
1. I am not able to play the H264 compressed file by selecting the file open option.
Is that i missed any point? But this option is straight forward in 0.8.6h version.
why like this?

2. Also server setting option through wizard is not available in the vlc 1.0.2 version.
Could anyone tell me how to configure this "vlc-1.0.2-win32" file as steaming server?

3. It will be well and good if anyone tell me how to use this player as server and playing mode
using H264 video codec in RTP mode.

1. You mean elementary stream H.264 files?

2. There is no Wizard anymore. It vanished between 0.8.6 -> 0.9.x transition.

3. Same transcoding options should work as in earlier versions, so just copy those.

OK got the point.

I tried streaming the file through 2 modes
a. UDP
Here, MPEG PS is relatively good compared to MPEG TS encapsulation method for H264 video alone.

b. RTP
Here it is not working at all.

It will be great if you tell me how to play the RTP mode of streaming server and player.

1. Thanks for your clarification.
Now i am able to play 264 file by renaming to h264 extension.

3b. Regarding RTP these are my selections:

I opened vlc twice. One for player and other for server
So my server and player ip is same (192.168.100.125)

1. In the player application.
Media, Open network stream,
Protocol: RTP
Address : 192.168.100.125
Port : 1234
Now this will be waiting for data

2. Then i opened server side application in the same pc.
Media, streaming, selected one yuv file of resolution qcif,
Stream, Next,
Destination tab, made default file to RTP, pressed the button add,
gave the ip of the same pc 192.168.100.125
Port: 1234
Audio port : 4000
Video port 5000

Profile: created one new profile with the option MPEG ts,
In video tab, H264, bitrate, frame rate selection was done,
Scale : 1
Width :176
Width : 144 (since it is qcif)

saved this profile with new name Test_qcif

Then in the profile menu selected that Test_qcif

pressed next button

Followed by stream

Does Tools -> Messages... (set Verbosity to 2) complain something? (open it before starting the streaming)

Why it is not able to play the streaming file?
Is the port what i had selected is ok?
Can i use the same pc for server(streamer) and client (player)?
