Today vlc said it has an update. So updated it. While video quality is better than before not being able to use extended settings is not nice. The only way I can use extended settings now is if I invoke it before the movie. IF I do so then the extended settings window comes and I can manipulate as I want . I can then also pause the video and change the brighteness and the contrast as I deem fit.
Although If I start the movie first and then click on extended settings then nothing happens. Please take a look at it
