Regression from v1.0.0 to v1.0.1 on EAC3 support

Postby rodam » 15 Aug 2009 03:07

I tried the new VLC v1.0.1 and I cannot hear audio on French TNTHD chains. It behaves like in RC versions of 1.0.0 where the EAC3 patch was not included yet.
The only version of VLC that had an working EAC3 decoder for me was v1.0.0 (the final release).
Does somebody else has this Audio missing issue with v1.0.1 and French TNTHD with EAC3?

Note: Replacing libavcodec_plugin.dll with the one from v1.0.0 fixes the problem. So it looks like the patch for EAC3 support is no longer present in v1.0.1

French TNT HD uses a special mode that will come back for 1.0.2
