Record Bug: VLC-Made Videos Don't Play With KMP and MPC

Postby A Friend » 30 Jul 2009 23:25

Hello,

The Record option has a bug: VLC-made videos cannot be played by KMP and MPC.

I recorded from an .FLV file and got an .AVI file. When I tried to open it with The KMPlayer, the latter showed only the first picture of the video, then it stopped playing the video, and played only the audio. After playing the audio, it continued playing the video without sound. :(

Media Player Classic did not open the .AVI file at all. :(

VLC-made .MP3 records from audio files run with KMP and MPC. :)

And here is a suggestion: For videos, the "Record" option should distinguish between "video record" and "audio record," as the Record option of KMP does. Sometimes you want to record only some sound from a video, and having to make a video record first and to convert it to an audio file is time-consuming and impractical.

Many greetings, :)

Record doesn't do FLV -> AVI conversion. Media -> Convert/Save... can do.
