CDA files

Postby tatala » 15 Feb 2008 06:34

Windows XP
If I double click on my cd player icon on the desktop it will open the files on a cd that is in the player and play them. The cd is one that I made from mp3 files and I converted them to wav files and than burned them to an audio cd. If I explore the cd the files are listed as track01 thru track18 and they all have the cda extension. Now the above is fine and what I want. However if I double click on a cda file to open and play it in the VLC Player it opens the player but won't play the file. Should it do this and if the answer is no I want to have it open and play a cda file when I double click on the file. How can I accomplish this?

Mine VLC doesn't identify CDA files so I am guessing neither should yours.

cda are nothing, just link to the audio.

Open an audio disk in VLC.

Normal. Open the disc from within VLC.
