playback blocky pixelated

Since i update the Vlc it's been giving me this problem.
video card is nvidia quadro nvs 110m,its all blocky pixelated,
driver is already updated. Here a screenshot. Please i could really use your help!, Anything please!!

sorry, the output is set on openGL video output, just click the image for full screen please.

I'm having the exact same problem here... Found a fix though: DirectX output, overlay disabled.

explaining how to do this might help the rest of us?
i have NO clue where any of this stuff is.

you can find that in the "preferences" menu, "video" section.
