Problem with mkv when using both embedded & external subs

Postby quality » 03 Apr 2009 15:33

Greetings

There's this problem:
suppose that I have a .mkv file which has an embedded subtitle stream -
and I also put in the same folder an .srt file with the name as the .mkv.

Well, when I doubleclick the mkv in windows explorer in order to play it,
then only one subtitle stream is available, that of the external .srt file.
If I rename the .srt to something else, then the embedded subs are (only) available.

Which setting should I tweak in order both subs to be available(=selectable)?

Thank you

PS. I use xp with the latest version of vlc v0.9.9.

Try 1.0.0-devel version and use the subtitle menu.
