VLF player in Powerpoint (2003)

Postby Saguaro » 25 Mar 2009 20:42

Hi there,

I'm using VLC 0.9.8a (XP + Office 2003) and have read previous posts about Powerpoint insertion. I'm not a developer.

Got the player to work inside PPT with .vlf files using installed activeX control (AutoLoop=False, AutoPlay=True, MRL path to file "must not" contain spaces)

The problem now is that it will "only play once"; if I want to play it again, I have to re-start the computer. I know I can use and configure Action Buttons (already tried) but the ActiveX control makes for a much more elegant transition between slides.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm having trouble with the MRL not being saved. First time through it seems to save my filename most of the time. Any subsequent update, or adding another slide etc results in either the change of file name not being saved, or a blank MRL.

Ie, make edits, save, close, re-open the ppt and the MRLs are wrong.

Has anyone else had problems with this and found a way around it?

XP, Office 2003, latest VLC

TIA
