I had this fixed in version 1.somethingr by switching to win out. ( 1.05 , 1.10 not sure which one)I have the same problem. I switched to win32 waveout and the blips/pops when pausing went away but when I pause a video the audio keep playing for about 1/4 - 1/2 second after the video stops. When playing a paused video the audio will be out of sync for about 1-2 seconds then it resyncs. I'm using onboard audio(Realtek High Definition Audio) on an intel dh55tc mobo.
OK - in the meantime what caching options , if any, could help with reducing stutter ?Wait for VLC 2.0.1, it should work better with audio.
2.0.1. has not fixed the stutter when you pause or slow the playback speed.Wait for VLC 2.0.1, it should work better with audio.
