HELP! NEW VLC AND MKV SUBTITTLE BUG?

Postby nyxboomer » 10 Feb 2009 06:52

:? hi i'm new here but i just want to bring this issue up.
The reason i use VLC in the first place is because it is Compaq, it has all the codec built in to it yet it has such a small size comparing with all the other media player's out there and i my self despite using WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER which lags and hangs alot. i have never faced such problem with the old version of vlc which was "VLC Media Player 0.8.5" running MKV file format and the reason why i updated was because the old version could not support the fancy fount type for MKV files and the new one could.
but now when i have updated my vlc to version
"vlc-0.9.8a-win32" i realized that this problem accrues with all my MKV format videos.
The problem is that when i hit pause the subtitle's just disapire and when i hit play the subtitle will lag behind the audio for a 2 or 3 second and will get back into sync after that. Now i'm forced to use WMP 11 which takes alot of resources up but in it i can play and pause with out having this problem.
is there anyway to fix this??
any patch? any new update, maybe this could be implemented into the new update????..
some thing pls help me!

anyway all MKV files behave this way in the new VLC but it works perfectly file in the old one.

oh can i also add this.
can the developer's pls remove the scroll bind to the volume and replace it back with the time line.
because it's an hassle to point at the time line bar just to shift it using the stroller
