Default media player

Postby The Mop » 29 Dec 2008 03:34

I have just downloaded the new version and I cannot get it to be my default media player. I deleted the version that I had and downloaded again but still the same problem, Windows Media player still is the default player. Any ideas........

Having the same problem. Running on Vista and it does not open when I click the "open" button when I have the choice to browse.

So the VLC file associations are correct, but double clicking the files doesn't open them?

I can open the files with WMP and any other program. However when I choose "open with a different program" and search for VLC I can click on it then press "Open" but it does not do anything. I went back and downloaded an earlier version of VLC and that has worked fine. All my MP3 files open through VLC. It is just the newest update that has this problem.
