Speaker Assignment

Postby drainey » 20 Nov 2008 15:33

Does VideoLan allow me to assign speakers? I want to be able to use a 7.1 sound card and assign 4 different tracks to play through each of the front, rear, center, sub stereo jacks

I don't think you can. VLC uses DirectX assignment.

You cannot reassign speakers with VLC. If you can use your soundcard control panel to split different outputs to different devices, then you can use multiple VLC instances to do that.
