Hello,
I have two problems:
1.
I, too, had problems with 0.9.6 . . . I downloaded version 0.9.6 today (9nov2000); the installation ran as hoped. However, a problem arose afterwards. Trying to load FLV files on vsn 0.9.6 immediately caused it to crash.
I had previously been happy enough using 0.8.6c but ran into an FLV problem his morning and so decided to see if anything changed with a newer version.
I shall try reinstalling 0.9.6, but I'm expecting the same problem.
2.
Has something changed with regard to the format of FLV files? Or the way the YOUTUBE formats them?
Previously one had simply to copy a YOUTUBE video from the Temporary Internet Files on Windows (98, 2000, XP - they've all worked up till now) to another library, rename it 'whatever.flv' and it would immediately function in the VLC player. However, I downloaded two videos this morning and fired them up in the VLC player (vsn 0.8.6c) – only to find that the programme appeared to be happily chugging through the video file OK except that there was NO PICTURE and NO SOUND.
Other YOUTUBE videos that I've saved previously still functioned OK.
What has changed?
