Define default file caching value?

Postby threehz » 03 Nov 2008 17:13

Hey all,

I play videos over my home wireless LAN, and sometimes video is jerky unless I select "Advanced Open" and specify a caching value.

I'm glad it works, but I'd like to make my install VLC cache all video playback by default. That way when other less advanced users in my household use Windows explorer to find the file they want to play and double click-open it, the caching is in place already.

Is there a way to specify a default caching value somewhere in the ini?

Thanks in advance.

Tools -> Preferences... (Show settings: All) and Input/Codecs -> Access modules and choose the access module you want get bigger cache value and increase Caching value in ms
