changing image of VLC video icons

Hello,
i was wandering if there is a possibility to change the image of a video icon. Vlc takes normally his own chosen image out of the movie. Is it possible to choose that image myself? How to do that? I can't find the answer myself in the forum.

Sorry, but you are not really clear. What cone are you speaking of?

if you have a movie on your harddisk, it represents itself in the form of a captured image of that movie. If you click that image, you can watch the movie. I call that an icon. Perhaps that's not the right word for it.....

The image you see when you view the folder as thumbnails is created by Windows. There's no way for VLC to change which frame of the movie makes the thumbnail.

You should be able to change the icon represented on the file through windows explorer's file property by clicking the icon and browse for new icons you like to change to.

thank you for the reply. I understand now that it's more a Windows issue than a Vlc issue. I looked at the "property", but couldn't find a way to solve the problem. Thank you anyway, Ton.
