Space no longer works correctly

OK 3 problems.

1. Every so often when I try to use space to play/pause a video or music file...it slows the file down like the "-" is supposed to do. I can "fix" this by going into the preferences and resetting it to be Play/Pause, even though it's already listed as being Play/Pause

2. Space wont' work any more if I touch the time bar to skip to a different part of a video. But it will if I play the file from the beginning without skipping aynthing.

3. Sometimes the acctual setting of Space as "play/pause" will be forgotten entirely much in the same way as the first problem.

I have attempted to search for this problem before I posted and could find no post that matched my criteria, namely searching for the basics of my topic: "Space", "Play", "Pause", "Slow", and "Hotkey" in several different combinations.

Would you be so kind as to post a link to the forum topic where this is addressed as I am having a difficult time locating it using the search.

Topic offers no help other than "Search the Forum". Yet another dead end.

It is the button focus thing. All problems related to that should be fixed in nightlies (and in upcoming 0.9.3).
