problem when returning from fullscreen mode

Postby breakingdecency » 20 Sep 2008 17:01

hey guys,

i'm experiencing some problems with the fullscreen mode.
when i return from FS, the vlc direct output window is as large as my whole screen and i have to resize it. this only happens when i choose not to embed the video in the player. annoys me somehow :D
in addition to this, i cant get the fs control bar "when you touch the edges of the screen" to work. just doesnt do it..

any help would be appreciated

greetings

Someone else also reported about the not embeded fullscreen issue. Some of the fullscreen controller issues will be fixed on upcoming 0.9.3 release.

same issues here on last branch-20080924-0205 , about windows resized at max when leaving fullscreen, and controller does not appear in this mode too.

Wrong, it is fixed. Either you misinstalled VLC or you have another issue.

I think what he means is that with "--no-embedded-video" enter / leave FullScreen the size (lost) of the video window won't restore.
And "--show-intf" Show interface with mouse (default disabled)
When this is enabled, the interface is shown when you move the mouse
to the edge of the screen in fullscreen mode. (default disabled)

i wonder how you could misinstall vlc, i mean you click "install" and so it does :)
random: though i don't exactly understand what you say, that's my problem. it only appears when i chose not to embed the video. is there any possibility i can fix this?

i _need_ non-embedded video cos i watch videos on my second display :-(
j-b: sorry, the fs control is just a smaller problem i can live with. i didnt want to make an extra thread for this. the returning-from-fs-issue is the main issue here.
