Creating a shortcut to play a DVD on a network share

Postby vlcuser2018 » 13 Sep 2008 23:08

I have copied a DVD to a network share and can play it within VideoLAN by going to File >> Open Disc..." and for the "Device name" entering the share "\\server\share".

Is there a way I can create a shortcut (maybe a batch file) that I can place on the user's desktop that will open up VideoLAN and play the shared DVD without requiring the user to perform the above?

Thanks.

You should see customize syntax below when you select the option. Just copy and paste it to your VLC shortcut or to .bat file.
