I'm doing that, I'm currently installing libtool.

I tried with gdb, and following the tutorial, I got the expected sementation fault... even before running vlc. So the 'bt' command didn't do anything. Here is a screenshot of my cygwin window.

Hope the screen wasn't too large...
More on this later with the libtool thing...

I am really NOT focusing on 1.0.0 errors, now. Seriously.

Should be ok.
Tested the vlc-0.9.2-win32-TEST.exe:
  • the above crash when clicking on an empty preferences space appears to be fixed (or I was not able to crash it)
  • seeking or going back/next chapter on a DVD still freezes the video on VLC player (random, not always)
  • closing VLC while playing a DVD or CD still brings a crash menu
  • the Qt translation is not included (simply open the open media dialog, the "Look in:" is always in English)
Cristi
... I think it's too hard to think

Well, the preferences was fixed, yes.
The next/prev chapt is worrying, then.
Crash menu too.
Qt is not included in that one. this is normal.
