Choppy playback after fresh install

Postby Skootles » 05 Aug 2008 04:25

Alright, well I just did a fresh install of Windows and VLC on my media box, and now I've been met with an unpleasant problem. Choppy video.

Now, I've gone through the settings trying everything I can, but I can't seem to fix the problem. I do have the proper video drivers installed.

The way I run VLC via the web ui, so it has no controls that are displayed on the screen, but one thing I noticed - on my old install, the video window (when not full screened) said something like "VLC (hardware YUV overlay DirectX output)" and it doesn't say it now. Now, I tried changing the output modules, but none of them say that..

anyone? :(

You also updated to latest DirectX and also installed latest chipset drivers?
