Is it possible to listen radio with VLC Media Player ?

Is it possible to listen radio with VLC Media Player ? Especially I mean this radio: http://www.radiogrunge.com/play.html.

Just save the radiogrunge.m3u file to harddisk and drag&drop it to VLC.

And I want to save my Radio list (or any other kind of list) into an XSPF: XML Shareable Playlist Format.
How come that... the VLC users ARE able to save a playlist into an xspf file and VLC does not associate itself with this kind of file "ext"
