h.264 High-Def files crashing 8.6d/9.0

Postby starmanj » 30 Jan 2008 02:08

Well, 8.6d crashes and 9.0 nightly pixelates. These are high-def DVB .ts files. I've tried every nightly 9.0 for quite a while. Is this the best place to submit log files for the 9.0 developers to analyze? Can't find a developers board.

Thanks

If they are interlaced video files, then you should wait until FFMPEG gets complete support for interlaced H.264 and VLC gets that implemented.

ffmpeg plays these HD files just fine-- any front-end GUI for ffmpeg.exe will play DVB H.264 files perfectly. Why doesn't VLC use the lastest FFMPEG builds??

Because it is very painful to keep Windows contribs updated all the time.
