Fixing Pixels on Skip

Postby dannymichel » 27 Jan 2008 05:16

I get these huge pixels when forwarding or rewinding or skipping while playing a movie.
I didn't get that when I used GOM or any other player.
I really like VLC and this is pretty much the only thing that is better on ANY other player besides it.
These pixels really bother me.

[edit] i just realized this post might not really be windows specific

VLC version: OVER 9000!!!
Operating System: It's...blue screen
Location: Heaven? No no. What's that other place that starts with an "H"? Oh yes: Home. ^_^

Try changing the video output module to DirectX.

If those videos are encoded as WMV video you can try -dmo switch. Video output module shouldn't affect to I frame decoding issues.

You can try nightly builds if they work any better.
