Set CPU priority to BELOW NORMAL via command line/parameter

Postby netwolf » 21 Jan 2008 20:14

Hello,

I often use VLC to play incomplete files of various kinds.
Sometimes it encounters problems that lead to 100% CPU usage and it's quite a pain to kill the process.

VLC is started via ShellExecute, so I'd like to pass an argument that starts VLC with lower priority by default.
I found the parameter to start it with higher prio, but not with lower.

Could you please tell me what switch I have to use to start it with lower CPU priority.
If it's not yet implemented (which I don't hope), please move this post to feature requests.

Thanks a lot,
regards
netwolf
