Two bugs that makes VLC crashes

Postby Bryan_See » 08 Sep 2007 11:24

Hello,

These two bugs in VLC are making me somewhat problematic. One is the crash referencing the comctl32.dll file (after playing the current file and subsequently deleting it using the playlist), and the other is pointing to the plugin file libffmpeg_plugin.dll.

Can anyone address this two problems as described above? Thanks.

Could you give more info (like OS, VLC version, computer specs etc.)?

And have you tried nightly builds?

No, I didn't try nightly builds. The OS is Windows XP SP2, the VLC version is 0.8.6c, and other specs are AMD Athlon XP 1500, ATI Radeon 9550, and 512 MB RAM. By the way, I've discovered two bugs while running on my current Vista operating system several days ago.

Here's the error reports:

And also the other one.

Files that help describe the problem
Version.txt
AppCompat.txt
memory.hdmp
minidump.mdmp

These two files: msvcrt.dll and libvlc.dll, according to these reports from above, are possibly causing VLC to crash unexpectedly. I hope these two bugs (as well as the previous two) will be fixed in a future update.

Those Windows error reports don't really help at all.
http://nightlies.videolan.org/ try nightly builds so see if your problems are gone.
