Convert video with AVS bad image effect in VLC player

Postby mick » 30 Sep 2007 14:36

I’m trying to convert the movies from my new mini dv camera and I have a software named AVS converting tools.
In Windows Media Player the converted video doesn’t work, the video is not displayed at all so I was forced to look for another player. After VLC media player for windows download, the installation was OK and the video appears but the movie image looks like it is split with horizontal lines making it almost un viewable.
I don’t know if this is a bug of VLC or of AVS conversion tool or it’s because I’m new to VLC player and I don’t know how to use it but could you look into this problem and give me a hand? I'm new to this domain.

I'm sure now it wasn't vlc player's fault, I i'm having and using now this free video converter and vlc plays my videos converted with it correctly. I also looked to test the old converted videos and found a smaller player (mv2player movie player) and tested the videos on it and it shows the same lines as vlc so i'm more than sure than it was a conversion problem. Congratulations for vlc player it became now my main and favorite player.
