No audio when capture from PVR-500

I have installed v0.8.6c VLC, and try to view TV locally on my PC (WinXP Professional). I am using Hauppauge MCE-500 card.
No matter what I try I cannot get any audio - the video works fine.

I have installed the latest Hauppauge drivers (3.4d). I have installed Hauppauge WinTV and video AND audio works fine, but I would prefer VLC for streaming..

I have enabled all device/unit properies dialog boxes, and tried a lot of different configurations, but no luck so far. Using the "Stream and Media Info" dialog tab "Statistics" I see that the Video and Audio blocks get decoded continously.

Could anyone please give me hints of that to do next?
