First I'd like to apologize for my english, I'm french... I'm gonna try my best to explain my problem though.
I've been having this problem for a while now. I've never asked about it because I was using a very old computer to watch my movies so I thought it was hardware related. But I recently bought a new one. It can't be due to the hardware, i play elder scrolls 4:oblivion (a game that needs some serious power) without a glitch.
When I watch any divx encoded movies (normal or HD), I get these hiccups (audio and video at the same time). It starts after watching 15 or 20 minutes of the movie, the video and audio freezes for a second, good for 5 or 10 seconds and then starts to stop a short time again, and thus for at least 5 minutes. It's like someone's hitting the pause button non-stop for 5 minutes.
I've tried caching 5 seconds ahead, it didn't help. I've also noticed that, during these hiccups, the HD was busy, doing god knows what. Nothing else is running, I checked the processes in the task manager.
I shouldn't write thison this forum, but I've tried BSplayer and it read the files just fine. Any clue why this is happening??
