Saving 20 seconds out of a DVD

Postby subbb » 26 Aug 2007 05:23

Hi all.
I have a DVD that, when started, runs until a video has to be selected. The video itself runs over 1 hours, and counts the time perfectly, ONCE IT HAS BEEN CLICKED UPON. (there's a little dvd screen when the dvd is started).
Now, if I try to export anything choosing the disc (D: drive, or that 0.2 seconds movie that serves as the intro - VIDEO_TS.VOB), nothing happens, vls hangs up.

However, the DVD contains 4 vlc readable files in the VIDEO_TS folder:
VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB VTS_01_3.VOB VTS_01_4.VOB

They are what constitutes to the DVD file viewable when started through the intro.
HOWEVER, the counting stops after 8-10 seconds in all of these files.

Now, if I chose the source paths as one of those files, I can actually export a video. However, if I select no timeframe, the whole video is exported, but stops after 10 seconds. (even though it went through the whole file). Independent of output format.
If I select a timeframe outside 0-10 seconds, nothing gets exported.

I hope this explanation wasn't too convoluted.

Anyway, if you can help me, would be great.
