Disabling skin & fullscreen GUI

Postby Xyzzy » 29 Jun 2007 16:34

Hello!

I am using Windows VLC, but I believe my problems are universal.

I don't know how to do two things:
- disable skinning once it has been turned on (ie. return to OS native interface)
- enable some kind of GUI in fullscreen (something like in Media Player Classic would be perfect).

TIA,
X.

VLC version: OVER 9000!!!
Operating System: It's...blue screen
Location: Heaven? No no. What's that other place that starts with an "H"? Oh yes: Home. ^_^

  • To disable the skin it's probably better to go though the start menu: Start > All Programs > VideoLAN > Quick Settings > Interface >
Set main interface to wxWidgets (default)
  • This has been requested:  link. There are plans to have fullscreen controllers for the next version (0.9.0)

:o That's definitely to improve, especially because there's also ZIP version (I use).
I guess I will wipe whole VLC directory and replace it from original ZIP, but that I wouldn't call elegant method.

Preferences, Interface, Main Interfaces from the pull down select "wxWidgets interface module" then press Save and close the player.

Preferences, Video "Fullscreen video output".

That works, thank you :)
